City Entry Points

Work will soon begin on a fresh, new look for Darwin City's major entry points at Daly Street and Tiger Brennan Drive.

Many of Darwin's arterial roads have already been landscaped with tropical plants and trees, but these two locations will go an imaginative step further in making an entry statement to the Central Business District (CBD).

Improving these entry points to Darwin will add a sense of arrival to the CBD area and offer a symbolic welcome to residents and thousands of visitors each year.

About the Project

Under Creating Darwin’s Future, the entry points to Darwin will be attractively redesigned with special features that offer a sense of arrival to a world class tropical harbour city with its own distinctive style.

The entry points will create a vibrant image of a tropical city with striking features that underscore the unique character of Darwin. The entry point improvements will be in harmony with Darwin City Council’s Streetscape Strategy, which offers a cooler, greener view of the city.
